29cm Vintage Mid Century HAK Danish Stoneware Nils Kahler Blue Pottery Vase

  
Vintage Danish Nils Kahler Art Pottery Stoneware Vase. This piece was created by. For Hermann Kahler Ceramics or HAK, Denmark.

It has a rich turquoise blue glaze often referred to as Egyptian Blue with an incised pattern to the body with natural exposed dark ceramic to the neck. The rim is also glazed in the same gorgeous blue. The stoneware base grins through where the glaze thins creating a pleasing effect.

This piece is in lovely condition and shows no post firing faults. It is signed with the HAK monogram, Denmark and signed Nils to the underside of the base. It also retains the Kahler factory sticker. The body also has two spots where imperfections in the clay body have expanded when fired in the kiln, pushing through the glaze to expose the ceramic beneath. These are not damage to the vase from knocks or scrapes but occurred during the firing process.
