ALLEN HYTHOLM art ceramic plate tray large danish. Very well known potter from Denmark. His work is in collections around world including the Queen of Denmark. He has lived professionally by his art from 1972 where he got his own workshop. From 1972 to 1979, Allan made countless models for other factories.

During that period, he worked closely with several large companies and artists at home and abroad. Bjørn Wiinblad, Rosenthal Germany and Knabstrup et al. It was also during this period that Allan modeled the Tivoli Medal in collaboration with Bjørn Wiinblad. Allan has a fondness for the blue color designs and are most desirable.

This is an excellent example of his blue work with geometric winfows cut into the vessel and then decorated in shades of red, blue, white, and gold gilt accents. Excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Measures 8.25" diameter and roughly 2.5" tall.
